L'interêt de l'embryologie cave est de mieux comprendre les étapes de l'organogénèse du système veineux et donc de pouvoir identifier les malformations congénitales rencontrées lors des investigations du système veineux.
L'étude anatomique montre la complexité des réseaux anastomotiques expliquant les voies de dérivation en cas d'obstruction cave et leurs conséquences cliniques : le système azygos et surtout les plexus veineux vertébraux jouent ici un rôle essentiel.
Summary :
The aim of the embryology of the caval system is to better understand the organogenesis of the vena cava and so to better identify the congenital malformations observed when we investigate the venous system. The anatomical study shows the complexity the venous network. It explains the location of the derivation routes in case of vena cava obstruction, and their clinical expression : the role of azygos system and vertebral venous plexuses is crucial.
